Very nice...

Very nice tutorial! It was hilarious how you made the beginning screen and stuff seem like the Medal of Honour series :P That gave me a good laugh. Pretty good content as well-I have never seen a Flash MX tutorial make daily 5th place. Therefore, congrats! You could have explained the script a bit more, however. I already understand all of the ones you've mentioned but it would help out if you explained the structure of Actionscript before stating a few. The drawings were decent, nice inclusion of music and graphics in order to make it look like MoH. I'm sure a lot of people have been wanting to view a tutorial like this in a while, and you've brought it to them. Congrats. Overall, good job. Could've been improved graphics wise (slightly) and be a more descriptive-but the content was there and kicking ass!

P.S.

I made a tutorial on the basics of flash. Can I get your opinion on it? (considering you're a fellow tutorialist) If you want to use any of it's content, be my guest.

We will be our each other's guest. and by the way what does it means by kicking ass???? bad or good.

Pretty cool game..

It was a pretty fun game to play. Making the gun move in the direction of the mouse is something that is pretty simple to make, but some people don't do so I give you props on that. The targets were pretty easy to hit, but it was fun shooting them. So easy to get tons of points by repeatedly shooting them :) The inclusion of a time limit was smart too. You put a good amount of effort into this work and I wonder what your next idea will be? Good job overall!

P.S.

Check out my own shooting game if you're bored!;)

Wow!

That is one of the nicest layout I've ever seen in my entire life...the graphics, the icons...the background...everything was so incredibly well drawn! Adding a functional calendar, clock, etc. was a great idea. Even though this doesn't serve much of a purpose on NG, I was impressed to see how well you put this together! Great layout...The only problem that a lot of people see is making the mouse more accurate by moving the registration point to the tip instead of the middle, I suppose. Other than that, great job! It would be awesome to see this become an OS wouldn't it?;)

God...

I'm sorry man, but this sucked ass. Those screenshots were the most horrible ones I've almost every seen in a tutorial. Next time, print screen and paste in paint as a bmp. Import to flash and then take off smoothen under the properties. Those Gif's or jpeg's or whatever those were--they were horrible. Not very helpful either. Since this was an update to an earlier version, I don't even want to see the first version. Try harder next time and maybe I'll vote higher.

Man...

I think it's horrible that you've only gotten one review so far...I can see that you put effort in this, but it is not complete. The 'arcade' and 'new game' buttons didnt work for me at all...It wasnt very challenging either and no offense but I got a bit bored after the first few seocnds of it. If you only included everything at once it would have been wayyy better. Oh, and try to add some sounds as well. Sorry if this ruined your perfect streak of a 10 average in reviews but someone just had to tell the truth. Submit it when it is done, and it will do much better and be a much more enjoyable experience.

komani responds:

Thanks for you honesty.I threw this up here cause i wanted to see if I should continue working on it.And I might just do that.I do have sounds and more , and the next update will be the full I promise.

Nice game...

This game is pretty darn addictive despite the small amounts of programming in it. That was pretty impressive how you could put such little things together and make a great game! The increasing difficulty only made me want to play longer so I could beat this. Nevertheless, I still have to say I am impressed by this game. It was so simple--yet so ingenius--I wish I would have made it myself. Since this is just a dema, I'm gonna give you a 6 for now. But I'll keep an eye out for the full version and make sure it gets the score it deserves!

Great job overall!

Good job for a beta version...

What I found really cool about this game was the interface. You had a very good layout, nice game over screen, etc. And although this is just a beta, there are still a few bugs (obviously). You should get the _root or coordinates of the person that is shooting and make them match up with the shot...i've been trying to do that myself lately but it is quite hard. What else...oh yeah, i pressed forward/back on a few frames and realized that the timer was still going even though the game wasnt being played. Might want to fix that. Heh, the bouncy ball was cool but I've seen it a million times before...Hmmm...the idea to make the player able to buy weapons is also really cool. Good job on the programming and keep up the good work! You have potential for a great game when this is done..just fix a few things and it'll be amazing!

Very good!

Well, I congratulate you on your effort on trying to educate people with what you know already. I especially liked that you mentioned to take a break, go enjoy life and dont stay inside and go crazy over flash because it really DOES have it's side effects...I should know...this tutorial reminded me a bit of my own actually...it's good to see people trying to help others with these tutorials...good job man, and even though I know flash already good effort. Check out my tutorial from my profile if you want to see my own tutorial about the basics in flash. I Want to see what a fellow tutorialist has to say ;)

Overall, good job and thank you.

Thanks for the VERY well written review!

Pretty good for 9.4 k....but then again...

Well, all of these types of games have a low file size anyways. Three frames with a bit of actionscript thrown around results to this. The concept of the game was pretty good, but I think you could have spent more time on it. I mean, the programming was practically flawless but there were a few concerns I had with this movie. First off, some of the visuals weren't too appealing. Using the gradients for the room walls was a bit distasteful (well, at least the red one)...hmmmm...the cursor could have been improved...you should have made it a racquet of at least a better looking mouse of whatever it was supposed to resemble...hmm...you could have added sound for when the ball either hit the racquet, the goal or the walls. Hmmm..oh yeah, and I know this next part is a bit hard with programming but perhaps fix the problem that makes you get one score for like every milisecond or something the ball is on the goal. You should make it so that you get one point for every time it hits the wall if possible.

Don't get me wrong--I'm not trying to piss you off or be a bastard writing this review, I'm just trying to give you some constructive criticism. You have a few k's to play around with, maybe add in or modify some of the content. But overall, nice effort.

That was great!!!

So far, so good.I haven't seen any glitches so far. This game runs perfectly.I have 300mhz and the movement is more fluent and faster than any game I've played!!

The only thing that I would reccomend is making Wade harder to beat.Usually ,when I'm playing a game like this, it all freezes up and before I know it, I'm dead.I'm willing to take chances now...make him harder!!I feel confident now.

Oh btw, I only gave you a 7 because this is afterall, a demo.

Anyways, great stuff.I've been waiting for MobiusFighter for so long , and to see how it's coming along makes it all worth the wait.
